About Homebirth
"Low-risk" generally means a singleton pregnancy (one baby) and without any major health diagnosis requiring ongoing medical management, including (but not limited to) high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, seizure disorders, morbid obesity, or recurrent miscarriages. Additionally, patients who have previously had a cesarean section or other surgeries on your uterus are not candidates for out-of-hospital birth.
Being based out of Guyton, Georgia, I plan to accommodate a 120-mile radius which includes the Coastal, Southeast, and Middle Georgia regions. Counties included (but not limited to) are: Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Emanuel, Johnson, Treutlen, Laurens, Wheeler, Montgomery, Toombs, Tattnall, Evans, Screven, Liberty, McIntosh, Long, Glynn, Wayne, and Appling. Availability will be based on current active patients/locations. I may be able to provide other resources if I am unable to serve your area.
Yes! I would love to provide your prenatal care. I do not have privileges to be your provider at the hospital; however, we can discuss other options available regarding your support system and my labor triage services, if you'd like.
Well woman visits can start as early as age 13 (typically around puberty) through menopause based on needs.
Yes! I am happy to provide your postpartum follow up visits if you prefer!
