Meet your Midwife

Welcome!
I'm Kayla, a dedicated midwife, wife and mother, with a passion for supporting women.

With a variety of nursing experience and a deep commitment to women's care, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where expectant parents feel empowered and heard. My approach to midwifery is rooted in evidence-based care: educating and individualizing to ensure that each woman feels confident and safe in their decision for out-of-hospital care.

Why Homebirth?

Originally from the Middle Georgia area, my husband, son and our pups have recently relocated in support of my career at the birth center. After unexpectedly being informed the birth center would be closing, I decided to venture into homebirths with the hopes of being able to continue to support the women interested in out-of-hospital births and personalized prenatal care.

My sister has been influential in introducing me to both the birth center and homebirth with her personal births, even allowing me to assist with her youngest child's birth at home while I was in midwifery school.

My experience at the birth center has allowed me to gain confidence with out-of-hospital births while gaining resources for continued support from other local midwives. I truly feel God has led us here and remains in control (Psalm 23). I am excited for this next chapter and welcome you to be a part of the journey!

I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are transformative experiences that deserve to be honored and celebrated.

Whether you're seeking midwifery led prenatal care, a supportive and experienced provider for an out-of-hospital, physiologic birth, postpartum care, women's care, exploring your options, or simply looking for guidance and support, I am here to provide you with the knowledge, resources, and emotional support you need to make informed decisions and feel confident every step of the way.

I am honored to be a part of your journey and look forward to working together to create a positive and empowering birth experience for you and your growing family.

Kayla
