About Me
Hi, I'm Kayla, your midwife!
I'm a Certified Nurse Midwife currently serving the Coastal and Middle Georgia regions, and I'm excited and honored to work together during such a special time in your life. I truly feel this line of work is a calling and privilege. With a nursing background in emergency and women's services, and midwifery experience in a birth center setting, I am well versed in supporting natural, physiologic birth in an out-of-hospital setting, while being able to quickly identify and respond to emergent situations. I have a passion for supporting women and providing individualized and personalized care.

From our very first meeting, my priority is getting to know you, your hopes, your fears, and your unique vision for your birth experience. Together, we'll craft a personalized plan that honors your preferences and ensures the safety and well-being of you and your baby.

Why Midwifery?
Midwives are experts in supporting natural, physiologic birth. Independently, midwives specialize in providing care to low-risk women and pregnancies. Having a nursing background, Certified Nurse Midwives are taught to look at the woman as a whole, considering her lifestyle, daily habits, emotional well-being, environmental factors, etc. which may affect her overall health, allowing for individualized and personalized care. Midwives are known for improving infant and maternal morbidity and mortality rates and utilizing less interventions throughout labor and delivery, while being trained to identify risk factors and able to implement emergency services when needed.
As your midwife, my goal is to provide evidence-based care, education, and support during your journey of motherhood. It is important to me that you know your voice is heard while also respecting my role (and license) in remaining appropriate for out-of-hospital care. I hope you will feel empowered and able to embrace your strengths as you bring your child into your arms at birth.
